HOW TO GET BETTER HAIR

Most of us treasure our hair. Mine has for the better part of my life been thick and naturally curly. As a teenager, I hated the curls. I wanted my hair to be straight like on the models I saw in the magazines. It wasn’t until in my thirties, that I learned to love my hair – and when you love something, it always looks better.

My hair has in recent years gone thinner, and there is at least one reason for that. Fortunately, I’ve come across a supplement that has helped my hair grow back again.

TRAUMA HAS MADE MY HAIR FALL OUT

When I saw my hairdresser, about 5 months after my late husband died, I was worried. The hair on the top of my head had become so thin, that I felt like I was going bald. She confirmed that my hair was thinning, and said: “Traumatic emotional events, like the loss of a loved one, often result in hair loss!”

I had never heard this before, but fortunately back then my hair recovered within a year or so. The same did not happen in 2014, when within a 40 days period, I lost both my father and my best girlfriend. My hair started falling out, and the hairline on my forehead receded (widow’s peak). I expected my hair to grow back again, but that didn’t happen.

HOW MY HAIR GREW BACK

This picture shows well how my hair has grown back again with the help of Hair, Skin & Nails supplement.

I tried many supplements, as well as oils to stimulate my hair growth, but to no avail. Then a friend suggested last year, I should try Hair, Skin & Nails from NOW. I was reluctant at first, but then decided to give it a try. I learned a long time ago from a doctor who practiced functional medicine, that in order for supplements to work properly, one needs to take them for at least 90 days in a row. So I started using the product with that in mind.

I noticed within 60 days that hair had started regrowing, in areas where it had completely disappeared. I was ecstatic, not the least because I also noticed that hair had stopped falling out.

My nails are now so strong that I need to soak them in water, to make them soft, in order to trim them. They also grow faster than before.

It is a bit harder to estimate the effects on the skin. Mine looks rather good, considering my age. Since I’ve spent 68 years on the Planet, it’s natural to have a few wrinkles here and there.

WHAT´S IN HAIR, SKIN & NAILS?

I always check ingredients in both my food and my supplements. The first thing I check is whether they are free of wheat, gluten and dairy. Hair, Skin & Nails passed the test.

I had never heard about Cynatine® HNS before, but it is the main ingredient in the supplement formula. According to NOW Foods it’s a revolutionary patented and bioavailable form of solubilized Keratin. The Keratin can help you maintain full and lustrous hair, and nails that are strong and flexible. For me, that has most certainly been true. The supplement works of course both for men and women.

Cynatine® HNS can also help the skin to retain its youthful moisture and elasticity. It also helps battle signs of ageing, associated with free radicals. Free radicals are the unseen enemy. They are for example in the air pollution most of us are daily exposed to.

EXTRA SUPPORT

Hair, Skin & Nails contains other nutrients which are necessary for the support and maintenance of the skin’s health and youthful appearance. Among them are vitamins A, C and E, and many of the B-vitamins, among them B-12 as methylcobalamin, which is the best form of B-12.

When I looked up information on biotin, one of the B-vitamins known as B-7, I discovered that it’s not only important for skin, hair and nails. It’s also thought to play a big part in the production of myelin, which is the sheath around nerve cells in the brain, the spine and our eyes.

Trust this information is of help to you!
